As humans we always like to see results and have what we have in our minds now. But as I have come to know God I have realized that its not the case!
There are times where I just sit there and want things to happen I want…but I know it wont come unless I let it go and not think about it. As I was reading Psalm 37:7 it says to be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry their wicked schemes. This means we shouldn’t run ahead of God’s time and expect things to happen the way we want it to even though we see other people succeed before we even do. If you compare yourself with other people, then yes of course we will become jealous and do things that are not righteous to get what we want. Becoming impatient could also lead us to make unwise decisions as well, because the decisions we make is all about our self interest and less consideration of the others even though it may seem that we are doing for the other people.
A patient man has great understanding but a quick-tempered man displays folly. Proverbs 14
To know that we have made the right decisions to solve our problems we first need to be patient so that we may receive the wisdom from God to help us make wise choices that goes beyond our understanding and emotions. A lot of people tend to make the mistakes of making decisions depending on the way they feel at that time of the situation and realize they make the decisions that are only temporal which means that it only makes them feel better for a short period of time or only at that time they are feeling sad or very emotional.
So folks, we all have things we want now but just remember that we need to have hope that what ever we want at the moment will come. Hope that is seen is no hope at all as it says in Romans 8:24-25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have we wait for it patiently. I always know that God will not give me what I want unless I surrender everything to him and learn how to let go of things. Therefore it is much more exciting when we see God breakthrough in our lives because it is a miracle that we have never expected! So let’s encourage one another to be more PATIENT!!
