Joyce and I go way back…
Reminiscing back to 2004, the year we started college together and became such close friends that when people used to see us apart, they would say ‘Where is your twin? You guys never go anywhere without each other!’
This much was true.
Unfortunately, following our dreams and pursuing our life’s path, Joyce and I lost touch that year…
5 years. I wondered, where is my Joyce? The dear friend I longed to talk to and hang out with…as I preyed to God to lead us to eachother, I would go back to all the young and fun carefree times we had together in college and wished that they would come back.
February, 2009, God answered my prayers and I found Joyce one night after work in Glen Waverley. It was the moment I had been waiting for 5 years and this was the moment…a very special moment…where I knew something great would come from this meeting.
It did.
After meeting Joyce again, I could see she had definitely changed…she was still the sexy, intelligent flamboyant little miss Joyce she was but it was as if she had transformed herself by transforming her thoughts…this was refreshing and inspiring. Her life’s journey had transformed her to what she is today.
On our second meeting we recognised that not only did we have similar stories, but that we also hold similar morals and values, which helped us to understand and appreciate each other.
This is where she introduced me to her baby, Woosh-IT, and I was blown away!
Blown away by the idea, the concept, the passion and enthusiasm for the dream that has the capacity to change the world and the ways it turns!
While many a people want to make a difference to the world, it is not a one-man job and you’ve got to be passionate and dream in this life if you want change.
Note: To change the world, you have to first change yourself.
Woosh-IT is all about grabbing the ball and running with it. Within every obstacle in life, is an opportunity in disguise, and you must discover it!
Of course, everybody has their own pool of problems but if we delve into them, we forget about the bigger picture and we lose ourselves, our purpose. This is a dangerous cycle and you’ve got to learn to handle your circumstance in a more Woosh-IT like manner!
I believe in quality of life and living it to fully. This is interpreted differently by every individual…but for me it means laughing, being happy and not indulging in life’s miseries. Finding the brighter side to things and enjoying life’s journey fully and absolutely and helping others to find this inner peace too!
To do this though, you must be in the right space on positive mind, to be sure with yourself and your capabilities, while encompassing en route.

When Joyce first introduced me to the concept of Woosh, I had just recently broken up with my boyfriend, and I was quite down and sad. It was Joyce that showed me how to be happier with myself and get through this sad part of my life, where I thought I would never find my usual happy self again. Woosh has opened my eyes, and I now look at the world with a new perspective, and I truly believe that this is what has helped me through. If I believed in myself and found happiness on the inside, I could WOOSH it out and be a more positive person. I am more grateful for the things I have in my current life, and I am defiantly a more happier person due to WOOSH.

WOOSH IT became words whose meaning changed depending on the situation I was in, my state of mind and what I wanted to achieve. Although it meant different things to me at different times, it has always served the same purpose, to help me achieve a positive outcome whether it was tangible or intangible. WOOSH IT was not a solution to all my problems, nor was it an answer to all my questions. It merely became a tool I used to be in the right frame of mind, or words I used to make the trivial to remain just that, trivial. It became a sticker on my computer which happened to reside in a high stress environment which we all call ‘work’.
I was given a meaning to WOOSH IT through a chance meeting, at a time I probably needed it the most. What I found most fascinating was the fact it left enough room for personal interpretation, so it was a word that we all found common ground in and also a word that meant what I wanted it to mean. I ended a journey with WOOSH IT and I’ll look to start another with it.

‘Woosh-it’ is a simple and easy to grasp concept which I can apply to my everyday life. However as simple it may be, the affect it has had on my life has been tremendous! From the very beginning I could see the positive changes which resulted by just having the ‘Woosh-it’ attitude. The concept encourages you to take control of your life by first working on your mind. It has provided me with higher confidence in myself, and the skills I believe that can used to tackle on any of life ’s challenges.
