The WOOSH-it Journey

I would love to share my christian walk with my friends and families, more importantly for those who do not know Christ yet.

God has always been faithful to me even before I got to know him personally. He always gave me what I wanted in life. He puts me in my tough and challenging times in life for a reason because he wants me to trust and rely on him first. I beleive when we give our problems and dedicate our own time to him he will bless us more than we actually can imagine or expect. God blesses us for our faithfullness, so rather spending time to try and sort out my own problems, I would now just pray and do my best when I know God will do the rest. 

Now that I have started to blog my spiritual journey to share my encounter to God with friends and families I have realised and beleived that God has always been working every minute, hour and day of my life. So I beleive once you get to know Christ you will start to think and back track what God has already done for you too and trust me it does make sense. Because from the very beginning when he created us he loved each one of us including the ones don’t even no him yet. 

 Not only you will start to appreciate what you already have at present but you will start to realise that there is no such thing as a coincidence ! Everything you face now and in the future is a test from God, he wants you to place your faith in him, so therefore he give you the life you want.

I accepted Christ in my life in not long after I finished VCE, it was the time of my life where I knew I had to make crucial decisions in my life. I realised that I had no more control of it because everytime I wanted to sort out my own problems or make my decisions it was way too complicated and stressful for me. I beleive when we make decisions for ourselves, without you realising or not we would always have an expectation, so whenever we don’t get what we want or meet our expectation we will be dissapointed for sure. But when ever I give my problems to God without taking it back or worrying about it, in fact it actually takes away the unecssary burden for me because I just beleive at the end of the day God is faithful and he always provides regardless what situation I am in. So just remember to live by faith and not by sight. Sometimes we don’t see things that God see, only he knows what is best for us so hang in there he will give you the best if only we trust in him and put him first. how do i do this?? of course WOOSH-IT !

Open up to God and ask for God’s forgiveness

Serve the lord with all your heart and soul

Honour the Lord and have faith in all circumstances in life.

 I can say this because I have experienced this throughout my whole life, everytime I feel like there is no more hope or no solution to a specific problem in my life God comes into my life and proves me wrong. How? He shows me a miracle and turn things the other way around and he wants me to beleive how real he is without me having to do anything to sort out my mess in life.! I dont know how but he does it but this is how I became closer and closer to God each day. If God used 7 days to create the heavens and earth including human beings then he would love us and of course do more greater things we could possibly think of. Most of the time its beyond our understanding and thinking. I beleive God makes us stronger when we go through so many obstacles, challenges and sufferings in life, because he wants to prove that he can do miracles for us during these tough times in life. He could lift us up when we are facing trouble because God wants us to rely on him and not ourselves, if we can take control of our lives and circumstances we would definitely bear more of the burden and causes us to constantly live in stress, but if we freely give ourselves to God we would definitely see ourselves prosper and receive the things we desires and wants we ask for. Providing that we live by faith, we should just start focusing on the promises of God rather than the obstacles we face, because he created each one of us to have a great plan in order to fulfill his promises.

So the three things I have changed about myself  in order to start living what God has planned for me was to train my mind to first see things in a positive things such as focusing on what I have at present, and start appreciating what God has blessed me with so far. I focus on God’s blessings rather than obstacles and problem I have faced, whether it may be a financial, relationship, family issues I would always believe that God would always provide for me. Secondly I have changed the things I say,so  rather than talking about the problems I face with, I have now chosen to declare the promises of God and speak words of affirmations. For instance, when people were asking me how my job hunting was going during the economic crisis, I would still be very optimistic and told people that I would have a job very soon with persistence, perseverance and patience.  I believe God will give me what I ask for, providing that I put him first and with prayer everyday. So it is very important to focus on what you say to yourself and other people around you. I’m sure you have all heard of the saying “What you say is what you become” which means the more you say are bad and weak, the more weaker you will become. Words do have power and it does affect your attitude and emotions, you can not expect to have a good attitude by saying negative affirmations. So no matter how bad you feel, always say good things rather than negative words. Not only it would affect you but it could impact others around you. Or you can follow one of the woosh-it saying “Have to BE before you Become.” This will make you eliminate the negative sayings and whinges you may have.

Lastly I constantly ask myself  “What am I doing?” or what actions am I taking at present which affect  my achievements in the future. No matter what decision we make, we need to ensure that we act out of faith. This has always been a struggle for me because doing is a lot more challenging than saying. But if God tells you to act, then ACT, we can’t delay because there is no perfect time to act on what God has planned for us. I have ignored God’s words and planned for me for 3 years ever since I started going to Faith Christian Church. Ever since I started going to church I knew that God has been telling me to go to Church and serve, however I have continuously to ignore God’s calling. For example I always gave myself excuses to stop myself from serving at church, such as I’m too busy from working and studying, needed to see friends, procrastination, no time,  no one at church gave me an opportunity etc. This is a clear example of what I mean by there is no perfect time of when to serve or to act on what God wants you to do. Especially in this enonomic crisis it is common for people to have a negative outlook on finding a job, or struggling to keep their career, experiencing financial difficulties etc. So these are the common circumstances and problems which hold back people to serve God and have a closer relationship with him. Amazingly even though everyone was reminding me that it would be a lot harder to find a job in today’s market, I stayed strong because I knew that God would provide me with a job providing that I stayed positive, continued be faithful to God. At this time I knew I couldn’t keep giving excuses, so this is the time of my life where I gave all what I had to God and just trusted in him to give me a job. I continued to show my faith by serving on Sunday morning church service, volunteering at Monash university open days without giving myself excuses and doubt on why I should help out at church. I did not try to pick a suitable day for me to help out, or stop serving at church because of what I was experiencing outside my life.  I put 100% effort and concentration in doing what God wanted me to do at church and did not have any anxiety, it shifted my focus on reaching out to people rather than thinking about my own problems. During this time I chose to be self-less, which meant I didn’t purely just think about myself, I believe that  if I did my best God will do the rest because I have handed over my burden to him which has taken the anxiety and doubt away from me.  Not long after I showed God my faithfulness and the way I honoured him, he blessed me with a wonderful job at the time I was unexpected. Even my family and friends were very surprised I could find a job in today’s market, without God I don’t think I would have been able to find myself the job I wanted. So I can confidently say that God will definitely give you your desires if only you seek him first, serve and honour him. This was definitely the first time where I put WOOSH-it into practice or into action.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

 Even though I haven’t followed his way, but he still loved me and never given up on me at all. He provided me plenty of opportunities providing that I seek him for his comfort and humble myself before him.
